Summary
Steve hasn't seen Eddie in nearly five years. He's barely let himself think of the man he turned down, all those years ago—thoroughly having broken both of their hearts in the process. What choice did he have at the time? He was still seperating himself from what his parents wanted him to be and he near even reached the cusp of finding himself—knowing himself. It would have been more than easy to lose himself in Eddie. But how could he consciously give himself to Eddie, be Eddie's, when he's never really belonged to himself? Steve blinks at her bemusedly, and then she points out beyond the pool- where Eddie Munson sits in the grass, smiling lazily as El and little Holly Wheeler adorn him in daisy chains, giggling as he bows to each of them, adjusting his flowery crown.
Steve groans, face in his palms.
“Yeah,” he laughs dryly, “if only Eddie was a chick, huh?”

Summary
John MacTavish hasn't seen Simon Riley since the day Simon rushed him to a London trauma center... and then walked away. The absence made John's road to recovery all the more agonizing, but luckily, the rest of the 141 along with other friends and family filled the hole left by a ghost.
Now, three and a half years later, John finally has his life together. He works for the MOD (and the CIA... ahem) as a civilian demolitions consultant. He's got a house, a (mostly) clear head, and most importantly, a date with someone new to his best mate's wedding.
John's ecstatic to be standing up as Kyle's best man. Unfortunately, it also means standing in the same room as a certain Lieutenant. It's okay, though. For Kyle's sake, John can keep all the anger and hurt festering inside of him in check. All he has to do is avoid Simon for the next few hours, and they'll go their separate ways.
Too bad Simon has other plans that, unbeknownst to either of them, will change their lives forever.
For better or for worse.

Summary
Four years after Hassan, Ghost and Soap have become the most effective duo in the 141, completing missions with brutal efficiency and a higher rate of success than any other special ops team (bad jokes and nonregulation banter included). Despite Ghost's insistence on maintaining professional distance, their closeness on the battlefield has gradually led to true friendship, and if Johnny sometimes wishes for more, that's nothing compared to knowing he's Simon's favorite person.
