And Shen Yuan is suddenly intimately aware that he fucked up somewhere in this encounter. Outside of the natural shock any person has at realizing another person could just throw them around like a ragdoll, Binghe crowding him feels like the natural development of everything he’s realized recently:
Binghe is a popular jock. Shen Yuan is an irredeemable nerd. Opposites clash, and American high school movie tropes were not as far-flung as he thought.
Of course he’s getting bullied! He should have paid attention to his gut and put more effort into not looking like an easy victim! Bluffing was all he had! There is no way he is a match for the fucking guns on either side of him. Binghe even has a loyal, threatening lackey by his side!
WTF was he thinking?! The worst case scenario wasn’t Binghe leaving him behind—it was Binghe using his jock powers for evil!
