Summary
Seven and Raffi cope together.
Seven murmurs as reassuringly as she can, “I’ll try for a better date when we get home. Someplace with a tablecloth and candles and fresh-grown ingredients.”
“When we get home?” Raffi searches her face, and the raw combination of hope and despair in her gaze breaks Seven’s heart.
“When we get home.” Seven grasps Raffi’s hand, curling her fingers into the heat of Raffi’s palm, and wonders if she will be human, Borg, or xB when they return to their proper timeline, if she’ll feel Raffi under her fingertips or cold, hard metal.
