The Gold Sickness mounts a heavy toll on the line of Durin. Thorin loses his mind and perhaps his soul to the very thing that fell his grandfather. Fili will not permit his family to go into darkness. With Kili's help, he makes a simple decision that will change the entire fate of Middle Earth. The two brothers face terrors unimagined, separated and desperate. Will fate ever show them mercy? Will they be able to keep Erebor safe from the dark powers that swirl around their souls? Will Thorin return to sanity, or will Kili have to upsurp his King?This started as a simple idea from a prompt at Hobbit Kink. What would happen if Fili stole the Arkenstone instead of Bilbo. I took that sentence and ran with it. I hope you enjoy. This is non beta'd. My second fanfiction and I appreciate constructive criticism. Hope you enjoy.

Summary
Fili/Kili Fili and Kili have committed treason in the eyes of Thorin, King Under The Mountain. Two disgraced brothers still have one place to call home, but shadows still dog their lives. No longer a one shot as I have decided to answer how Fili and Kili have kids and roll in what happened according to Peter Jackson with Kili and Tauriel. Filled with angst, fighting and the boys being dads. Meanwhile, Bilbo despite the boys best attempts, is still hung up on one surly dwarrow in particular, too bad the ass in question is still being a moron.

Summary
During the hunt for Aegon’s second name day Rhaenyra runs away from the camp. As soon as the King is informed of her disappearance he is bombarded with a slew of visions. Visions of the future and what will come to pass. He sees just how far the Hightower plot has infiltrated the Red Keep and just how far reaching the consequences of his own blindness will be for his daughter. Resolved to save Rhaenyra from her future fate, the fire residing in his heart, which had been dormant for so long, is roused. He will ensure his enemies never forget why you should never wake the dragon.
