You are the eyes and ears for Queen Maleficia and her fae army during the Fae-Human war. You are her right hand woman, using your abilities to help protect your home and your son.
You had seen Lilia Vanrouge fight many times on the battlefield. He was strong and powerful, sure, but he was too reckless in your eyes. It annoyed you to no end.
Newly appointed General Vanrouge had grown infatuated with you since he first saw you years ago after a particularly rough battle. While being a general wasn’t something he particularly wanted, there were quite a few reasons why he accepted. One being that he now has more opportunities to get to know you better, aside from the 2 of you throwing the occasional spell at each other.

Unless, they use a special spell crafted by him and another Alastor to go find their soulmates and bring them back. Follow from Alastor's perspective as he gets sent back to a year after his death into a small ranching town where he meets Y/n, and his plans to get back in a jiffy are quickly derailed.

(Y/n) (L/n) was a relatively anti-social twenty-one-year-old. She had no real family, and she was really only close to one person, that person being Mara Kline. They were so close, in fact, that they did everything together. They would shop together, eat together, and most importantly (for Mara anyway), they watched Black Butler together. The two girls owned an apartment together, making this moderately easy. Mara had a very large hyper fixation on the anime, she was quite literally obsessed.
One day, the two of them are riding around in Mara's vehicle. Mara, not paying quite as much attention as she should have been, allowed the two of them to get hit by another car.

A father brings his daughter up to the roof of his apartment building to watch a meteor shower. A meteor shower in and of itself is a decently rare, but extraordinary experience. It’s even rarer to be able to see one in New York City due to all the light pollution. But it seems like tonight was one in a million. And in reality, it was. Just not nearly in the way we thought it would be.
