Yaku scoffed. “Just move in if it's such a big deal.”
Lev opened his mouth to retort only to close it a second later. It was as if his thoughts had finally caught up to the reality of what Yaku had just said, overriding his instincts to be annoyingly whiny in a manner of moments.
Then there was silence, loud and encroaching, and Yaku felt something hot and uncomfortable burn within him. An ache perhaps. His own, personalized, chronic heart pain.
And then there was Lev who was staring at Yaku like he was a trick of the light, both real and not real, visible only if you tilted your head the right way.

Summary
Hinata and Kageyama have been together since they were sixteen and unpresented. A young love uninfluenced by secondary gender or social norms bloomed. Ten years later, as an Alpha-Omega couple, they are yet to be mated.
Since gender meant nothing, time should mean even less to them. Despite well-meaning advice and thinly veiled warnings, the couple delay their bonding. Waiting to be more accomplished and ready to settle. To the couple, there is no rush. However, Mother Nature bows to no manmade plans.
