Summary
Kaveh feels excited about Mehrak's birthday, so he began spending the next few days designing a gift for her. Neglecting to realize his sudden elated mood not only surprised Alhaitham but also dragged him further into the love he already has for his roommate. Thus, indulging him to humor this whole birthday plan for Mehrak as well. Kaveh nonthewiser.
This was for a Haikaveh server flash exchange, and my first time making fanfics for stuff like that, so it was fun to break out of my comfort zone :D

Summary
It had been years since Dori had felt the clasps of insomnia. Back then it was the trickle of mora that satiated her subconscious anxieties, now she's not so sure. The hourglass filled with mora no longer did its work and with all the new hours she's spent lying awake in her palace, her mind wanders. To places and people she hasn't seen in years.
In the tavern a familiar face startled her. He looked older—softer in ways, yet worn at the edges. His hair barely reached his shoulders now, and the creases of his wrinkles marked the smile that he always puts on. Even now, he smiled at her. It felt strange, almost surreal. She couldn’t remember him ever smiling at her like this before, in a way friends do when they meet each other. She could’ve sworn he hated her. Kaveh, the architect. That night the two spoke in the company of students and mercenaries alike. Not as The Light of Kshahrewar, famed architect, and wealthy merchant, Lord Sagemah Bay, but as Kaveh and Dori. Two people who're not exactly friends, but too familiar with each other to be acquaintances.

The last time he interacted with anyone from that school was the Doctor. So pardon the wanderer for not having a favourable opinion of its alumni.
The wanderer and the architect find themselves through each other.

Summary
“Coming!” Al-Haitham calls, navigating the maze of packing peanuts and crates. He undoes the latch on the door and lets it swing open, fully expecting to see the bearded face of his landlord only to be met with the vermillion-eyed face of somebody he had given up hope on seeing for the rest of his life.
There’s a long moment of silence. The aching swell of Vivaldi in the background and the rushing in his ears like the ocean waves.
“...Kaveh?”
Kaveh, globally-renowned musician, disappears off the face of Teyvat. Five years later, he shows up outside of Al-Haitham's door with no explanation but to ask for a bed to sleep in.
It's fine. They only have thirteen years of history, after all.

Summary
The air between them is stale, thick and heady with the aftermath of their last argument finally weighing down on their shoulders.
"Say it," Ayato intones, dragging his brush to ink another signature. The words carve themselves out of the throat, more Kamisato Ayato-like than Ayato. "It is unlike you to hold your tongue in front of me."
Thoma glares, burns through him as though Ayato is man molded out of pity and not clay. "Is that an order, My Lord?" The honorific pulls itself sharply out the tongue, weaponized the minute it becomes aerodynamic in a way that has Ayato's belly curling with dread.
"You know very well it is not."
"Do I?" Thoma counters, daring the Commissioner in a way only he can. His vision burns, an extension of the heart he is charring for Ayato. "You seemed fine enough to order me before you left to Seirai."
Wherein Ayato takes the retainers punishment under his own name; bears it in the weight of his own blood, and Thoma must watch. Thoma, however, is never content to just watch. He fights. He wants to meld himself into Ayato as Ayato has to him. They fight. Ayato is dissected by the taste of sin. They navigate themselves from there.
