Understanding dawns in Wu Ming’s eyes. He releases Xie Lian and climbs to lie beside him, entwining Xie Lian’s fingers with those of his clean hand. It’s a sweet gesture, though Xie Lian has touched worse… Wu Ming’s hand on his waist brings him back before he can sink into memories.
"It’s okay," Wu Ming tells him. "I promise, it’s okay for you to have this. What if we did it together?"
