If he was going to be stuck in the past, then Armin Arlert was set on fixing the future. He would do everything and anything in his power to prevent the Rumbling from happening, and subsequently save the world (even if he ruined himself in the process).

Summary
In his boots, Victor stands inches taller than Eli. His fangs glint, fully extended, long and sharp; a lock of hair falls over his forehead and his eyes are making him look borderline manic. The effect is potent, and Eli’s heart jackrabbits, sweat pooling under his arms. Victor shoves him backward with such force he crashes into the paintings on the wall.
And yet…
Eli cannot resist driving the knife home.
