Summary
“An awakened Ackerman is loyal to and only to their liege. The royal family has curated their DNA very carefully, structuring it in a way that makes it physically impossible for them to disobey orders once they find a master to serve. Imagine that lever of force and loyalty in the Survey Corps, sir.”
Shadis curls his lips and sits down as well, looking absorbed in his own thoughts. Erwin watches him, chest rising and falling slowly as he waits for the Commander to process the new information.
“They created something they couldn’t control,” Shadis reasons quietly. “They created monsters.”
“Assets,” Erwin corrects him. “If one knows how to use them.”
“And you think you are capable of using one?”
Erwin tilts his head to the side. “I think, given the right circumstances, I can. Wouldn’t you rather join the Survey Corps and finally get the Citizenship, rather than spend your entire life in the Underground?”
------
The Ackermans have been hunted down for decades and are known to be extinct. When rumour has it that there might be one left in the Underground, the Survey Corps intend to find him before the Military Police does.

Summary
Levi and Erwin both survived the war and are together in Marley.
Levi has sustained serious injuries and Erwin - who's doing fairly well - takes care of him.
That's how Levi recalls when Erwin lost his arm: how he was the one taking care of him; how, at that time, he realized his feelings for Erwin.
Blood, gore, psychological torment, hurt/comfort and lot of angst along the way. And also some tenderness.AKA: I wanted to torture my favorite characters and dive into Eruri hell.
Hope you enjoy.

Summary
Sometimes, as the winds of Narragansett Bay whip at his cold-flushed face and aching hands, Levi wonders how life has led him here. Here: atop four winding flights of stairs, seventy-three feet in the air, polishing a fifty year old light bulb several times larger than his head.
His predecessor had complained about the loneliness while showing him around the place. Told him it makes you go mad. Levi doesn’t mind it though. In fact, he finds the isolation oddly comforting. In the middle of the ocean there are no generals or foremen screaming at him to get back to work. There are no sly insults on his stature, or reprimands regarding his attitude. Atop Whale Rock there is only steel, stone, and the occasional seabird cawing overheard.
---
After being dishonorably discharged from the military, the slowly dying Levi Ackerman takes a job as a lighthouse keeper just off the coast. Content in his isolation, (aside from the occasional visit from supply-boatman, Hange) he resolves to spend the rest of his days on the sea tending to the light.
It's only when a retired, one-armed navy man arrives to serve as a fellow keeper, that Levi has to reconsider if there's something he's been missing.

Summary
“All right… It looks like you have something that I lack. Until I know what that ‘something’ is, I’ll go with you.”
"Erwin Smith."
Erwin Smith. The name, and the man himself, echo in Levi’s head, linger on his tongue, and leave imprints behind his eyelids. He can’t stop it. Time passes and their connection grows as inevitable and intense as a storm. Levi realizes that maybe he doesn’t want it to stop—there’s more to the stone-cold leader than meets the eye. While their mutual bond strengthens, others speculate, but Levi never cares to explain their relationship; no one understands. No one will ever understand the ways in which their relationship exceed the boundaries of a commander and his captain.
~ Or ~
A canon compliant retelling of Levi and Erwin’s story from ACWNR to the night before retaking Wall Maria. For people who think Eruri can only be a toxic ship, here’s proof it can be a complex but loving one.

Erwin didn't understand until he experienced it himself.
Levi never believed until he, too, experienced it himself.
