Summary
Today was going to be a difficult day for Lena. Her best friend, whom she was hopelessly in love with, was marrying an idiot today, and she was even pregnant with his child. As a good friend, she should be happy for her. In reality, she just felt sick. Part of her wanted to tell Kara the truth about her feelings, but the other part tried to convince her that she could be happy with Mike, especially since they were going to be parents.
So Lena had to admit to herself that it was far too late. Hastily and frustratedly, she wiped the tears from her face.

After breakfast, Lena grabbed a blanket and her spellbook and went outside. Kara was sitting on the porch steps, talking on the phone with Alex. As Lena passed her, she gently stroked Kara's shoulder and then turned as she walked.
Kara looked her straight in the eyes: "Oh yes, sis, the view is simply breathtaking." Lena looked away and grinned to herself. Her friend is clearly flirting with her. She can't be imagining it all.
