    “I love you.” He pulled him impossibly closer and Husk huffed as he let himself fall against Angel’s body, nuzzling his face in the crook of his neck. “So much it hurts,” Angel finished, his words wobbling, but true.

    “What can I do to help?” Husk wondered purely, his fingers drifting up the ridges of Angel’s ribs.

    “Just…” Angel mumbled, his own hands pausing on where they threaded through Husk’s fur on his back. “Lay with me for a bit?”

    Husk inhaled, pressing a kiss to the side of Angel’s face where he laid, “Of course,”
