This. This was the worst. Arriving at the party, he had been immediately overwhelmed by the sheer number of people – at least a hundred – in this mansion-like house, and where did they find so much alcohol? Sam thought it was soda! The music was loud, the dance floor and corridors packed and endless at the same time, alcohol and food smell flooding his nostrils at every corner. It was the first day, but everyone already seemed to be split into tight friend groups; it was logical, he thought. It was Senior year after all. He was the new kid. The freak.

Summary
The one time he had stopped running, Gabriel was killed by the one who was chasing him, the one whom he had freed. A single tear managed to slip out during Sam’s prayer, rolling down his cheek while he fought himself to keep his eyes closed, fearing that he would break the make-believe connexion that was holding him together right now. “Gabriel, I wish you were still here, man.”
Or the one where Gabriel gets actually killed by Lucifer at the hotel, but comes back.
