Summary
It's rather fitting for their crappy goddamn lives, that when a spell of devotion hits Dean in the middle of a hunt, he looks directly at Castiel: his best friend and the angel who confessed his love to Dean before dying.
No matter how good they've been at ignoring Cas' feelings since his return from The Empty, with Dean now bespelled to love him, sweeping it under the rug isn't going to be possible once they break the curse.

He ends up growing fond of the said project, despite the dangers it poses.
So fond in fact, that he ends up helping the merman escape and try and find his lost memories again, despite the fact this choice could be a death sentence....Ah well, with how fucked his body was, he was gonna die sooner or later anyway.

Summary
Both praised and scolded for his performance in Penacony, Aventurine re-negotiates his employment. He quits. --- Kind of.
And if there was ever any benefit to the job in the first place, it was the beautiful wonders of money. The excess of material goods he could give away, the games he could play, and the gamble of keeping his relationships as close but as far away as possible. What happens if he tugs on the rope tying together him and Ratio as "coworkers?" What happens if he pulls on that chain that ties him to the IPC? What if, after everything, Kakavasha could do something worthwhile?

Aventurine and Ratio play a game together: how long can they give each other gifts until they have to acknowledge the meaning? How long can they play games with each other's (and their own) feelings before someone loses?
