Rewrite of my work: Who Saves the Hero?
Humanity imagined many things when they took to the stars, yet they really didn't expect an alien attack, an almost invasion, and then to discover that they were very much newcomers to the Galactic scene. The Citadel Council has been in existence for 10,000 years, the Asari Republics space faring for 18000 years prior to its founding. In a galaxy where Humanity makes up less than one half of one percent of a population of three and a half trillion beings; one mere human, no matter who she is, feels like one impossibly small light striving against the vast darkness. How can one formerly dead human Spectre, working for a terrorist human supremacist organization she does not trust, prevail against the Collectors while attempting to discern Cerberus' true intentions? Where can she turn to for allies when the Council openly doubts her sanity and the Alliance does not trust her? When everything around her has changed during the two years she was dead, including her own body and mind, can she find something solid enough to rebuild her life upon?
Lazarus being brought back from the dead had been a miracle; to Spectre Amanda Athene Shepard that seemed to be the easy part.

Summary
Spectre Amanda Athene Shepard had been brought back from death by Cerberus. However, she suspects the Illusive Man has manipulated her into working for him and that he has his own hidden agenda. Now fighting against both the Collectors and trying to discern Cerberus' true intentions, who can she trust besides Garrus and Tali to help her find out the truth? Where can she turn to for allies when she knows the Illusive Man is waiting and undoubtedly has plans already in place to stop her from getting assistance from the Council or the Alliance? When everything around her has changed during the two years she was dead including her own body and mind, can she find something solid enough to rebuild her life upon?
Unfortunately this work will remain incomplete, it is though being re-worked and re-written as a new story (with a rather unimaginative title) Who Saves The Hero (AU Version).

In Puppet Strings, Demona finds out about the real causes behind her past and is freed from the Weird Sister's enchantments on her by the Ancient One, a powerful spirit as well as falling in love with Kendra Canmore, the Jaguar Spirits chosen. In Discussions, Demona continues her transformation as the Ancient One's chosen, re-building her relationships with Macbeth and Angela, making several new friends, and building a life with Kendra.

Harry Potter reacts much differently to the Dementor attack on his cousin and it causes a cascade of changes in the lives of everyone he knows. He takes advantage of some old traditions to escape the predetermined path he has been set on.
“Somehow you found me a more acceptable confidant,” Snape said, in a tone that implied that Harry’s brain might be faulty.
“This would probably upset anyone I said it to, but you’re about the only person actively trying to keep me from being in mortal danger in the first place. Plenty of people will help me once I’m neck deep in it, but they’d still encourage me to walk into the mess."

Summary
When Sirius Black escaped Azkaban, Ianthe Potter had no idea how much it would change her life. Her godfather was unwilling to leave her in the control of Dumbledore or at the mercy of the Ministry or the fickle public. It shouldn't have been surprise that a Marauder would blackmail his way into a court appearance. Or get all up in Dumbledore's business. Or bring the wrath of the Wizard's Council and the ICW on the Ministry.
It was definitely a surprise when, six years later, Sirius Black died killing Tom Riddle, called Voldemort.
Ianthe has never been on the simply lay down and accept a wrong; to bow her head to circumstance. What was a little thing like changing history to Lady Ianthe Potter, the daughter and goddaughter of Marauders?
Changing the past is surprisingly easy. Living it might just be harder. Especially when the lives she changed to save the future collide with the one she now lives, thirty years in the past.
Ianthe Potter no longer exists, but Ophelia Manus does. Her past is gone, lost to a future that will never - please, Magic - come to pass. But she has a future in this new past - and, if Orion Black has anything to say about it, she might just have someone to share it with.

Summary
Harry just wants to have a quiet life and get along with everyone. He wants to be normal, and accepted. Being “normal” for the Dursleys yielded great results in improving his standard of living, and as he heads off to Hogwarts he still retains that impulse to keep his head down and blend in. Of course, life isn’t as simple as that, and Harry is a magnet for trouble. And what does "normal" really mean, anyway? The pure-bloods in his group of friends think he should learn more about their culture and religion if he wants to fit in.
