Summary
Six months after Keith turned sixteen, it happened. A light tint started appearing on his right wrist, and a warm tingle began to dance across his skin. The colour bled darker for weeks until it formed visible scrawl, marked and burned into his existence, and Keith felt like the world had fallen.
~*~
Katie’s mark had started coming in before her birthday, and had cleared into words the day after the celebration; the tentative excitement had been broken by mixed feelings of its tingling appearance on the skin of her left wrist. Besides the unusual—and bad luck—placement on her left wrist, the words that appeared didn’t fill her or her parents with any joy. Maybe if they had been better, less ominous, they might have thought her lucky.

Summary
It had taken years for Persephone Potter to get her life together.
Leaving the Wizarding World behind had been the best choice she had ever made, but it had taken ages to become the person she was now. The discovery of her immortality and unaging body had rattled her in a way nothing else ever had, but she had managed to get through it with some space. She had found herself. Had built a life.
Only for the Wizarding World to come back to haunt her—to force her into a war that was no longer her own.
And Seph wasn't fucking having it! She had stopped caring for these people a while ago; she couldn't care less about leaving them behind.
Her new world was better in every way—no looming war, no nosy neighbours, no loud cities. Nothing but peace and quiet everywhere in this forest she now called her home. The only problem was this pointy-eared weirdo who kept showing up, talking to her in a language she couldn't understand. What was up with that one?Series

Summary
“Bad luck to see the bride before the wedding,” he tuts, but smiles broadly at her father. “But what a pretty bride you’ve given me, MacLean.”
She’s not a thing. She’s not some passive prop. “My name is Lucy,” she tells him, unable to keep the challenge out of her voice.
His eyes are hazel. They bore into hers. It’s jarring. “Lucy,” he repeats, as if tasting the word, the name, her. Must find it satisfactory. Tilts his head to study her more closely.
“I'm your seventh bride,” she points out, and doesn't miss the way his lip twitches upward, gnarled skin pulling taught, a split second of amusement that must pain him.
“That a threat, sweetheart?”

Summary
Arcade didn't know how he kept ending up in this situation with her. He had the empathetic ability of the average housebrick, yet it was him who had sat on the steps of Doc Mitchell's house and explained the concept of transference to her. Him who had brought her a box of snack cakes and pretended that it was surprising that Benny had not turned out to be a stand up guy. Him who had rather forcibly explained that there were no circumstances under which the love of a good woman would persuade Vulpes Inculta to defect from the Legion.
