    Summary

“You know,” he says, voice deep and mechanized, “the name ‘Felix’ comes from Latin. It means ‘lucky’, or sometimes ‘happy’. Not sure your luck is gonna bring you much happiness, though…”

    Oh, fuck.

Felix is an idiot, isn’t he? God, or maybe he’s just greedy. Why else would he see forum posts about a piece of missing media that had clearly been buried, on purpose, and decide to dig it up, even knowing full well that it would invite trouble? Did he think he was immune to being disappeared?! His sister is going to kill him, right after Red Hood does.

...AKA an outsider POV fic of Felix, a philosophy major, who gets his hands on a true crime documentary of the events of A Death in the Family in order to write an essay about the ethics of superheroes.

    Whiiich Red Hood reads.

And he likes it! He does! He just has a few critiques… (and he’s got killer debate/essay skills).

    Summary

    Roy Harper is alive.

He’s there, just feet away, fast asleep on Jason's couch, with Lian curled up into his side. It's almost the same position as when she’d jumped into his arms at the ballet studio. She hasn’t let go of him since, even as they’d both eventually fallen asleep on the couch in June Ellington’s generously rented apartment.

Jason hasn’t let him out of his sight. He doesn't move until Roy cracks open his eyes. He blinks slowly, scanning the room, then looking down at his daughter’s still sleeping form nestled into his side. Finally, he smiles.

    “Morning, Jaybird.”

    Jason could cry.

    or

Roy is back. Jason is still undercover, but he's not letting Roy out of his sight.
Peter Burke isn't too sure about Neal's new roommate.

“Are you going to kill me?”
“What? What, no! What would make-,” you think that? You have one guess, Buckley.
Buck sank from his chair to his knees, moving to sit in front of the boy on the ground.
“Christopher, I am not going to hurt you. I couldn't.”
    “You promise?”
He raised his fist, his pinky sticking out. Christopher wrapped his around Buck's.
“You may not know this but pinky promises are sacred in the Buckley family.” He put the slightest bit more pressure on his pinky.

“Hey! Get away from my son!”

    Summary

Evan “Buck” Buckley was not an honest person as much as he would like to be or even was trying to be in his own way. His dishonesty wasn’t malicious in the slightest though. He had his reasons, of course, but his entire identity was built on a shaky Jenga tower of lies. As much as he built it up, one by one the blocks were still removed over the years making the tower less and less stable.

Buck joined the 118 fresh out of the Navy and braced himself for all the questions that were about to come his way which he did not want to answer. Then, like a gift from above, somehow and shockingly, no one had read his resume, and he found he could start all over again, be a new person, someone completely different or maybe who he was supposed to be all along.

    Summary

Adriana doesn’t tell their parents that she’s going to LA. She doesn’t tell Eddie, either—or ask, for that matter.

She does ask Chris, and he thinks it’s a good idea—says as much, on the phone, and doesn’t say much else.

“Buck will probably be hovering,” is what Chris does volunteer.

It still surprises her when the man who opens the door is not Eddie. It’s—Captain America, is the thing that actually comes to mind—a man close to a foot taller than she is, if not more than that, with blond curls and broad shoulders, and he’s got a question in his very blue eyes that’s probably less friendly than the one he actually asks her.

“Uh,” he says. “Can I help you?”

Or: Adriana arrives in LA. Maddie has been here the whole time.
