The war between the Dwendalian Empire and the Kryn Dynasty finally comes to an end.
Peace, as delicate and tentative as it is, has been brokered and discussed.
Professor, turned Warmage, Caleb Widogast would be wed, as a political symbol, of the effort being made to extend that peace towards the Dynasty.
To whom, he has no idea, further than they would be Kryn.
He just hopes that he can keep the peace long enough to reach their wedding night.Planned to have weekly updates!

It is still cold, and will probably get a little bit colder through the night. It is awkward, but… from a logical standpoint… he might be used to roughing it but Essek– no matter what he says– is not. So he worries.
“Um, this might be a bit… forward,” he says shortly, “but… if we were to sleep close together, it would help us keep warm throughout the night, too.”
Essek’s hands pause in smoothing his bedding.

The Mighty Six (not so aptly named), found themselves in a tight situation. In their attempt to free Yeza and Luc Brenatto from the Kryn Dynasty where they'd been taken (and wasn't that a shock, finding out their alcoholic goblin friend is actually a married halfling with a child), they were captured and taken for interrogation, when they encounter what might be the least expected person they could imagine.
Dawntreader Caleb Widogast.

Beauregard Lionett took the job at the Magnus Institute for one reason and one reason only---to piss off her dad. She planned on doing a few years in Research before a better offer came knocking, and a promotion was the last thing on her mind.
But now, she's stuck as the Head Archivist, tasked with organizing and digitizing the messiest archive in the world. While she paints herself as a skeptic, and goes on the notion that most of the statements are fabrications at best, several of them appear to be different. More real. More dangerous.
And the things in the statements have their eyes set on her and her team.Bookmarked by Kitanda

Summary
When Caleb brings Mollymauk back, it is not because he is in love, or because he is destroyed by guilt or grief. It is because Molly's death made it clear that these people are his family, and he has destroyed his family once, and he will not let this one be hurt again where he has a say in it.
The love follows.

Summary
In a world where soulmarks appear as magical script written in the language of one’s soulmate, Caleb Widogast wakes to find drow glyphs etched into his skin—ink-dark, unfamiliar, and impossible to ignore. Across the border of empire and dynasty, Essek Thelyss bears a matching mark in harsh Zemnian script, hidden beneath glamours and politics.
Neither can read their own mark.
Both know exactly what it would mean to translate it.As war, guilt, and forbidden magic bind them closer, their soulmarks begin to react—glowing in danger, resonating in spellwork, and pulling two men together who believe themselves unworthy of destiny. With empires watching and old sins casting long shadows, Caleb and Essek must decide whether soulmarks are a sentence… or an invitation.

Summary
Essek thought he knew the meaning of devotion, but watching Caleb he has now come to understand it. He sees it in the way Caleb operates, in every decision he makes. A clear devotion to his goals and his people and his passions.
When did Essek begin to feel it himself?
For decades Essek has danced with false devotion. False devotion to the Queen, to the Luxon, to his country. Yet, he is beginning to feel that the King of the Empire, Caleb Widogast, is a man he could dedicate a devout devotion to.

Summary
To end a war before it begins, the Kryn Dynasty and the Dwendalian Empire bind their futures together—through an arranged marriage between Essek Thelyss, Shadowhand of the Dynasty, and Bren Aldric Ermendrud, a Volstrucker shaped by the very system meant to destroy him.
What begins as political necessity becomes something far more dangerous: trust.
As ancient rituals, Luxon judgment, and imperial ambition collide, Essek and Bren must navigate betrayal, assassination attempts, and the weight of power that refuses to stay buried. When the Luxon claims its due and new life takes hold—twice over—the cost of survival becomes deeply personal.
Surrounded by allies old and new, guarded by a Dynasty that will burn the world before losing what it protects, Essek and Bren build a family in the shadow of empires.
This is a story about chosen loyalty, quiet defiance, and the futures forged when love survives the machinery meant to erase it.

Summary
Caleb moves closer into his space and holds his shivering arms tightly, and rubs some warmth into his shoulders. “Essek, you can feel it, can’t you?”
Caleb noticed it as he left the cottage, once he consciously felt for the sensation. Or rather, a lack thereof. Typically, magic rushes around him like the wind itself, or an ambient scent, or music. It appeals to a different and entirely unnamable sense though, of course. He can feel it, touch it, and manipulate it. It is so constant that it becomes subconscious and beyond notice.
“You can feel it, Essek. It is gone.”Peace is a precious thing, and a fragile thing too. When the unexpected finally strikes Essek's delicate new life, he and Caleb are left adrift and alone and very, very, vulnerable. What are two wizards without magic to do?

Summary
Caleb built a routine for himself when he started his higher studies: classes at the University, working part time at the library, and recharging in the dorm with Mollymauk and Fjord.
Slowly, new things got introduced into that mundane living: cuddling with Mollymauk, Fjord spending most nights at Jester’s place, falling asleep holding Mollymauk, and ultimately being kissed by him.
Now, after a year of falling into a new comfortable order beside his new partner, Caleb’s normal is thrown off again, by one Essek Thelyss.

Summary
Essek Thelyss opened a cat café in the Empire to spite his mother. That much had been the basis of his move. Changing from being the first son to a ruling den of the Dynasty, to waking up at 4am to ensure that the baked goods were ready to go in ovens, and the cats had enough play and treats before customers came in.
There was just this one customer who visited every day that kept catching his eye, although they didnt speak too much to one another.
He wanted to rectify that, somehow.Bookmarked by Kitanda
