The thought clattered in his mind as he reluctantly uncurled from his sleeping position. It didn’t suit someone of his station- a king shouldn’t be so feeble, so anxious, especially over a plan he himself hatched.
The Pale King shuddered.
His scales itched and he desperately wished to go back to sleep. If he could avoid this dreadful responsibility for even one more day, he would be a very happy higher being. He couldn’t, of course. Too much depended on his presence, he had to be there when the eggs hatched and he had to light the way for them.
If everything worked, only his light would guide those mindless, soulless vessels to move.________________

Summary
Making MK believe he is now on his side, Macaque would join the Monkie Kid team with the goal of stealing the rings to obtain the Samadhi fire for himself and finally free himself from the bonds of Lady Bone Demon, but as he lives more with the group he finds his plans of betrayal weakening as does Wukong, who seems to be on the verge of collapse, secrets accumulating under the skin of the golden monkey that no one but Macaque seems to notice, becoming more and more engrossed in him to discover the truth until it is too late, someone else had his same idea of the perfect crime and the rings they so painstakingly recovered would one night disappear along with the monkey king.

Summary
After the Lady Bone Demon havoc, Sun Wukong and Macaque agreed to try the strange mortal concept of "dating".
They really want this relationship to work, but they both have never been in any kind of romantic relationship before, and have no idea how to proceed.
Be prepared for centuries old monkeys trying to romance the other, and being flustered messes while trying to properly date the other.
This the sequel of "Who said you can't flirt in a apocalypse ?", an AU where Macaque and Monkey King neve met before, and only crossed path during the Lady Bone Demon havoc.
