Summary
Zhongli, meanwhile, sits back in his chair, flabbergasted. “You mean to tell me in your twenty-odd years of life—” Childe corrects his age, clearly proud of his relative youth. “—you have never taken a lover?” He uses this turn of phrase deliberately, and it has the desired effect.
Childe’s face flames. “That’s—that’s not—” He clears his throat and lowers his voice. “We were talking about dating.”
“So you have done neither,” Zhongli says slowly.
Childe has always been too dedicated to the Tsaritsa to find time for intimacy. Zhongli changes that.

Summary
“I don’t need to know what you are,” Illuga says. “Just give me something. Something to cling to the next time you run headfirst into danger alone.”
Flins sees the ghosts behind those pleading eyes, the shadows he tries to bathe in light, to pretend his lantern could drown them out rather than push them further into the corners of his mind. And he knows the stories, knows the haunted past that Illuga doesn’t like to talk about, the reason Flins’ answer matters.
He settles on a simple, yet vague truth.
“I am… not so easily killed,” he admits.
“If you’re lying to me,” Illuga says. “I will summon you from the grave and kill you myself.”

Summary
In other books he read as part of his research, specifically those imported books from Yae Publishing House, he remembers reading scenes like this. Vampires eat by drinking humans’ blood, and sometimes it would be depicted as sensual, with the puncture point being on the erogenous zone, like the neck.
The gears in Illuga’s head click into place, sending a swirl of heat into his tightening stomach as the realization settles in his guts.
He is the food.
Illuga finally confronts Flins about his identity as a... vampire?

Summary
“Are you enjoying yourself, at least?” Wilder says. Being spat out by a wormhole into the middle of nowhere wasn’t Wilder’s idea of a great time, but Velite had, as a child, wanted to go space exploring.
“Enjoying myself?!” Velite exclaimed on the phone. “This is too much excitement for me! I think I’m going to be sick.” A pause. “No, I’m not actually sick-”
A muffled yelp. Wilder strained his ears.
“-don’t have a fever.” Argenti’s voice, now close up.
“You-! That was a figure of speech!”
“My sincerest apologies.” This Argenti fellow spoke so formally.Wilder watches his brother get lost in space and then bring home weird men.
