Ta'dana watches his sole eye flick over to where her human forge master hammers away at a piece of d'lex. She watches as his stance changes, something stubborn setting in his shoulders and the way his mandibles tighten, brow furrowed.
“You want her.”
It is a statement, not a question, but Vek'ra nods anyway, hands twitching at the sides.
“Sei-i, Elder. And I plan to prove myself to her,” he rumbles and then cuts his eye back to the imposing female, “to you as well, if I must.”

A grounding fic with lots of highs and lows. The teachers will get some insight into Iruma's life and this will cause a domino effect. It's doesn't really resemble the original story anymore. Update: Next chapter all Misfits and some teachers will know Iruma is human. The parental tags are really going to come into play soon.
