“So you think I’m pretty, Jihyo-ah?” She says as she sips her cup again, smiling.
Jihyo stared in disbelief, what happened to the cute clueless girl that walked to the coffee shop?. “I liked you better when you were shy.”

Michelle noticed Clare's shift of behavior, and after that she couldn't stop noticing how she blushed profusely every time Daisy was brought to the conversation, or when the girl walked past them offering a shy hello in the hallway, earning a roll of eyes from Erin. She felt a pang in the chest every time her favorite big, blue eyes wandered across the room to see if Daisy was around. Next time Erin complained about Daisy, she found herself agreeing with her.

Aubrey felt her blood run cold, heart dropping in her chest. There was no way in hell or Hogwarts she forgot their anniversary. She quickly looked over her shoulder, to the calendar hanging on the back of the door, almost afraid to look at the day.

Aubrey tensed a bit, and Emily almost thought she had said the wrong thing because she knew her a bit too much to know what that rigid posture meant. The blonde looked up from her book and took her glasses off, sighing.
“I... I‘m not sure yet.” Aubrey bit her lip. “I’ve been meaning to have this conversation with you for months now, but it just didn’t feel right i guess.” She paused. “Would you?”

See, it wasn’t that she avoided people per se, it was more like, damage management. Aubrey was a perfectly normal teenager. She liked board games and to read while her mom was baking cookies. She liked walking around, and even though she didn’t feel hyped when it rained, it didn’t bother her either. She had a weird (this she could admit, it was weird) taste in music. She liked hanging out with her best friend for life and neighbor, Chloe Beale.
And she was good at many things; but going to parties on Friday nights, especially high schools’ ones, was not one of them. Apparently, this must be different because the host was none other than her best friend’s girlfriend.
