Summary
The gates of the Royal Capital, Ecbatana, came into sight. The Lusitanian army advanced towards them, smoke still clinging to their banners from the villages they had erased along the way. At the front of their march stood a single post. A man was bound to it, blood pooling at his feet. He stood upright nonetheless - head high, gaze unbroken. When he spoke, his voice carried across the plain. “People of Ecbatana - shoot me. Better to die by a friend’s arrow than by the hands of these savages.”
Only then did his name matter. Marzbān Shapur.High above, upon the city wall, a woman stood in silence. Cold stone pressed through her gloves as the wind tugged at her hood, concealing her face from those below. She did not move when the moment came.
The arrow was swift. Merciful.
A single tear slipped down her cheek - the last she would ever shed for the old Kingdom of Pars.
In the days to come, she would walk paths she had never intended to tread, drawn into the wake of a young prince who dreamt of a different future. The world that had cast her aside would demand her return - and test what she still believed in.
And if the gods were kind, something new might yet grow from the ruins. -

Dear Reader,
Christmas is on its way! And in order to honour Christmas not only because it may be of religious importance to some of you but mainly because it is a feast of gratitude, joy and giving, we decided to create this piece for the Arslan Senki fandom.
We have prepared 24 doors of an Advent Calendar that shall delight you the wait until Christmas Eve.
Here’s a little preview on what awaits you:
You will accompany our beloved Christmas elf Etoile while she experiences mystical encounters and learns to look at the world through different eyes.
It was originally a collaboration between myself and a dear friend of mine who unfortunately wasn't able to finish the "new edition" from her end. Therefore, we decided to give you the story version only in advance this year, and will be happy to receive any feedback you would like to provide! You may already stay tuned for the re-vamped upload in 2026.

A nameless girl had been living her life peacefully, hidden from the outside world – and hidden from the Order Coffin Company – until the night she stumbled into a battle between vampires and Kownloon Children. In the chaos, she was gravely wounded, and darkness claimed her.
Believing her to be a vampire, a Company investigation team brought her to the Special Zone, placing her fate in the hands of the “Dragon King of the East,” Sei.
Sei, against the protests of others - particularly Zelman Clock - allowed her to remain in the Special Zone under Zelman’s care. Something in her stirred his curiosity: a desperate, unyielding grip on fragments of a past even she seemed not to understand.
Her aura was fragile, but there was a quiet strength in her. Sei wanted to protect her, to win her trust. But he knew well that safety in the Special Zone was fragile - bought with ceaseless struggle and sacrifice.
What no one yet realised was that she might be the one foretold to end their endless war.

Summary

Assuming that she was a vampire, she had been brought to the Special Zone by a team of investigators of the Company, in order to let the “Dragon King of the East”, Sei, decide what should happen to her.
Leaving her in Zelman Clock’s care, Sei allowed her to stay inside the borders of the Special Zone – much to Zelman’s dismay –, sensing that she was desperately clinging to pieces of her past that had yet to be discovered by him.
Due to the helpless aura she was radiating Sei wished to protect her, to win her favour, curious to get to know the mysterious girl. Although, he wasn’t confident to say that a life in the Special Zone was indeed a safe one. Its security was the result of a relentless fight that had taken its toll on everyone for a long time already.
Yet, what he didn’t know was, that she should be the one prophesied to free them from their endless war. -
