    A year after the Winter Soldier failed his mission in DC, Bucky Barnes is doing his best to stay under the radar from both Hydra and Steve Rogers. His hope for a peaceful day-to-day life in limbo goes awry, however, when he meets Queens’ newest hero; a pure-hearted kid with a death wish and a ridiculous pair of red and blue pajamas.

    The last thing Steve expects when he finally tracks Bucky down is that, not only has the man been living in Queens all this time, right under his nose, but also that, in the two years since they last saw each other, Bucky somehow acquired a kid.

    Alternatively: How Peter Parker effectively fucks over Bucky Barnes, and also totally saves him.

    This story has some mild cursing. Takes place after the Civil war movie and is my version to provide me with serotonin. I love Sam Wilson, but I wrote him to be an asshole in this, so I apologize for the Sam lovers.

     

    Peter Parker is adopted by Tony Stark after his Aunt May passes away from cancer. It has been almost three years since the events of Civil War, and the Rogue Avengers want to come back to Stark Industries and resume their old lives. They claim they are willing to make changes but one conversation after another and this is proving to be false. With Peter trying to keep his dad safe as well as his own mental health, he has a lot on his plate, and he is fed up.

    Sam groaned as he hauled himself back out of bed. He’d already put on pajamas, dammit. Once pajamas were on, he was done for the day. That was a universal rule. But even though he had no idea what Tony was on about, or why he was texting Sam when he meant to be schmoozing big wigs in tuxes and Jimmy Choos, Sam did understand one word in Tony’s text that was unambiguous.
