    “As long as I’m still here, I won’t have you pass out in front of me again.” He didn’t back down.

    Yuuji glared at Choso before tugging at Noritoshi’s sleeve. “Senpai, please say something to him. He’s always like that. He’s not making any sense!”

    “Uh…” Noritoshi scratched the back of his head, furtively glancing at Choso who, in return, gave him a piercing, yet hopeful stare.

    Damn.

     

    In which Yuuji learned Blood Manipulation yet he sucked at learning, Choso sucked at teaching, so Noritoshi had to step in.

    “Someone dear?” Choso echoed. Was this some kind of… confession? 

    “Correct. While I’ve never experienced the life of a typical family, I find that now, well, I can’t help but see Itadori as a little brother—CHOSO!?”

    Without warning, Choso’s breath caught itself within the confines of this throat. As he choked, his body fell forward, dropping to the ground as he racked his brain around the words he had just heard. Frantic fingers clawed into the floor as Choso sought stability. The hand tempting to pat his back, the other unsure if helping the Death Painting back to his feet was a good idea, both were doing the opposite in their quest to provide aid. 

     

    Noritoshi’s words had caught him off guard. 

     

    ♦ Choso wishes he could do more for his brother's training and finds himself envious. Noritoshi believes Choso does more than enough already.

    He couldn’t call out to Sukuna like he used to. Yuji feared he no longer understood the curse, if he ever truly knew him at all. He’d been too naïve for his own good, but when fear was breaking down the last of his walls, all Yuji could do was shuffle toward the curse, one hand tugging on his clothes, and beg for him to reconsider. 

    “A-Aniki… Don’t go away.”

    As soon as the words slipped out between Yuji’s lips, regret took over at the sight of Sukuna’s face. He honestly didn’t know how the curse would react, expecting to be shoved off again as the more likely outcome than the full-body freeze he was witnessing. 

    The curse’s eyes widened, bewildered by the form of address Yuji had used. It wasn’t like a Yuji could have used his name, and he was still in Fushiguro’s body, which for better or for worse gave him the stature of a teenager… He’d made Sukuna livid, hadn’t he?

    This was how his life was going to end.

     

    ❤ Yuji gets attacked while alone and turned into a child. His memories are all intact, but no one else needs to know that. Especially when the first person to find him is the curse who abandoned him once already.

    It isn’t often that Itadori keeps things from him. Aside from being a terrible liar, he usually confides in Megumi about everything, from his grandfather, to his favorite professor, to the guy in his film class that he hangs out with sometimes. Even the things he keeps to himself don’t feel like secrets; Megumi can’t remember a time where they ever made him feel this unsettled. Even though he knows that he isn’t entitled to every detail in Itadori’s life, it irks him to think there is someone that he knows absolutely nothing about.

    Especially someone, he realizes with a sinking feeling, that is exactly Itadori’s type. What was it he had said to Todo? Tall, dark hair, kind of badass. In other words, exactly like the tall, dark-haired, intimidating looking man who just walked out of Itadori’s dorm room.

    “While there is wisdom to be had in your caution, don’t paint yourself in such a negative light.” Choso wondered if Sukuna was to blame for the sudden shift in his attitude. The curse had been silent since Yuji had reclaimed his control over his body, but that was only from the perspective of an outside observer. There was no telling what Sukuna was up to while hidden in a place Choso’s ears couldn’t reach.

    “Not even if it’s true?”

     

    ♦ Yuji and Choso separated from the rest of their makeshift team while on their way to meet Master Tengen, find themselves displaced eleven years in the past. How this came to be is uncertain, but with the opportunity to prevent the disasters of their time from ever transpiring at their fingertips, how can they sit idly by and wait for the world to catch up to the grim reality they left behind?

    “Don’t ‘Hera’ me!” Hera pulled away from Kanan and jabbed her friend’s side with her pointer finger. “Benni likes you!”

    “He does not,” Omega scoffed, dancing away from Hera’s fingers. She leaned against a locker, folded her arms. “He doesn’t even know me.”

     

    Margaret Baxter (known by most everyone as ‘Omega’) is in her senior year of high school. She decides to celebrate the milestone by taking a risk and auditioning for the school production of Sleeping Beauty, somehow winning the role of Aurora.
    But when she finds out one of the school’s biggest playboys and thief Benni Baro is vying for the role of Prince Philip just to get close to her, she takes another risk: getting to know him personally. One thing leads to another, and she’s sucked into a war between Benni’s world and her own, all while trying to navigate her bizarre hesitation with romance and solve a mystery tearing a rift through her family that dates back to before her birth.
    Her helicopter brothers aren’t helping much, either.

    Hunter took in and released a breath. “The lawyer’s name is Obi-Wan Kenobi.” He passed Tech the business card. “He’s an old friend of Cody’s. He said he’d help us…” Another breath, in and out. “I called CPS and reported the abuse. He thinks… he said that he’s confident that we could get custody of Omega.” 

    The silence that followed his declaration was hollow, each man around the table taking a moment to let it sink in. Wrecker slumped backwards, good eye glazed with relief. Tech nodded, his tablet propped in front of him, legal documents and forums pinned and filed. Echo, catching Hunter’s eye, gave him an approving nod.

    Crosshair laughed. “Right,” he scoffed, turning to rinse out his coffee cup. “Perfect.” He dried his hands on the kitchen towel, balled it up, and slammed it into the sink. “Great call, Hunter.”

    For over ten years, Hunter and his brothers thought they were done with their mother, Nala Se, her abuse far behind them. When they learned that they have a little sister, still in their mother's care, they decided to do something about it.
