“What if I say no?”
A futile question.
“Ultimately, I can’t force you to do anything anymore,” she says, “But the poor kid has been through so much. I’m asking you as a friend to protect this little girl.”
She sucks in a breath and holds it, as if debating to say what’s on her mind.
“You fought so children could have a safe world to grow up in, right?” Her voice is gentle and sincere. “Please, Twilight, she needs that world more than ever.”

A month after the defeat of Shredder, and things are pretty chill. Chill enough that Leonardo's off on an errand to pick up pizza when he sees April and Sunita chatting away at Hueso's. And what kind of best friend would he be if he didn't try to give her a little bit of trouble? But while doing so, he gets himself a drink, and suddenly finds himself looking at Sunita in a way he shouldn't be.
Because he didn't get crushes. He tried that before and it never worked. So how come he couldn't get her out of his head, his best friend's crush no less?
He soon discovers he wound up with a love potion he was never supposed to get, and as the hours pass its trying to make him more and more obsessed Sunita. And the more he fights it, the worse he feels.
There has to be some way to get rid of this.

If it would feel different without the barrier of triple-weave kevlar and impenetrable alien fabric between them, stripped of the context of battle and the excuse of necessity.
Bruce was, however, in possession of all his faculties and thus was sound of mind enough to create a 20-item list (organized by relevance) of all the reasons why following through on his desires would be unwise. Chiefly among said reasons was, of course, that there were approximately thirty minutes before Clark would be married to the love of his life, Lois Lane, and that Bruce would never jeopardize their happiness for something as petty as feelings that he’d failed to smother in the cradle—no matter his alleged ‘self-destructive tendencies’.

He gets stuck at the short-straw desk right next to the pillar that no one else wants; but it’s right behind her and she catches him listening to her rattling ideas off to Jimmy more than once. She’s not used to having someone there, encroaching on the one corner of her workspace that was devoid of people. And he’s so … cumbersome. It’s hard to ignore his presence.
