Summary
An incredibly self-indulgent AU where Athena is drawn to Ithaka earlier and becomes closer to Penelope because of it. Will focus on Penelope throughout the years of Odysseus' journey and how she easily could've been a chosen of Athena as well with all her wit and cunning. (No seriously, I need there to be more Athena & Pen interaction in fanfic, they fit together SO well)

The timeline is certainly going to be a little fucked (I was an Egyptian Mythos nerd in middle school, not Greek, so mistakes will surely be present and prevalent) and pieces will NOT be posted in timeline order. However, I will make sure they're ordered correctly within the series and write it out in the series notes!

“Proudmoore,” the ethereal echo of the Banshee Queen’s voice did things to Jaina that it shouldn’t have and her jaw flexed momentarily. “I wasn’t sure you would grace me with your presence.” Sylvanas’ fangs flashed as she spoke and Jaina tracked the motion before flicking back to her eyes.
Jaina tapped her staff against the floor, the moisture in her clothes and hair dissipating as the tip of the anchor motif touched the aged hardwood. She had chosen to wear her hair down today, like she had for Sylvanas back before. Before Frostmourne and Theramore and everything else that had broken them since.
“Don’t act as if I’ve arrived here hours late, Sylvanas.” Jaina said, voice even. She’d waited years for this and she wasn’t going to waste her time on the games the other woman now liked to play. “We both knew well before you sent your letter that I would meet you here.”

HOO BOY.
Okay, this fic developed from a Discord prompt (full prompt in the fic notes) about the idea of an illness sweeping Azeroth where only the Forsaken are immune and those closely connected to magic are at least partially resistant. I took a lot of liberties with the prompt, but I had fun with it overall. The fic is set during Cataclysm before Theramore's fall and features Sylvanas and her dark rangers, along with Garrosh and Faranell, journeying to the Isle of Theramore to discuss with Varian and Jaina the possibility of the Forsaken lending their aid to not only Horde, but Alliance as well, while a cure is researched.
The story is very heavily Sylvaina, with the illness and the response to it playing a relatively important role.
I am garbage at summaries, but this is really just Sylvaina with an Azerothian COVID-19 backdrop, enjoy!
