Remus and Janus being accepted was a huge success, however it turns out that acceptance doesn't always fix everything.
Remus longs for physical affection but no one seems to want to give him any so he resigns himself to never having it.

“You are clearly present for a reason, Remus,” Logan chimed in, after another beat had come and gone. “You may be glad to hear that we are all curious as to what that reason is, and why you have not moved from the couch since this morning.”
“Guys, be nice,” Patton chided softly.
All they were met with was another not-statement, this one a bit more petulant than the first. The duke tensed up and rolled over with a tight breath, at last, flopping onto his back and letting his left arm fall over the edge of the couch.
“I’on’feelgood,” he mumbled, his voice uncharacteristically quiet.

Summary
Janus couldn't keep going like this. He was going to tell Remus the truth, even if it meant losing the person who meant everything to him. It didn't matter. He couldn't keep lying to his best friend.
Janus didn't realize just how much this would crush him. He didn't realize being honest now meant everything might go back to how it used to be.

Thomas isn't doing well, and the Sides can't figure out why. Could it be that Remus isn't as much of a maniacally happy sociopath as everyone thinks he is? Maybe he actually...cares...when Thomas calls him scary?
Or maybe he's just too busy drowning himself in condiments to care.
