Sanemi had grown so used to Obanai’s hands on his skin, tracing his scars and lingering where they crossed.
Careful, shaking, calloused hands and their soft movements had become a staple in his life; something sweet and precious he could hold to his chest, no matter who saw. A little bit of softness he could grant himself.
Something about this closeness, about the affection and attention directed at the parts of himself many deemed monstrous, made Sanemi feel… something. Something nice, something he wanted to chase after.
He wanted to give that back to Obanai, somehow.

Summary
Shit. Shit. Shit. This is all Legend's fault, this is all his fault.
Startled, Hyrule drops the knife on the floor, they both wince at the incriminating clink of it.
"C'mon Hyrule. Open the door now please, for me?" Legend bodily presses himself against the door, straining to hear what's within, for the breathy sobs, the silent begging, or even the knife being picked up.
"No no no." Hyrule whimpers, Legend could tell he's just shy of bursting into tears. "You're gonna be mad."
Legend could force the door open right now if he truly wanted to. But doing that would step over nearly all of Hyrule's boundaries, likely breaking his trust.
No matter how his hands itched to wrench himself in there and envelope his dear brother in a hug, to snatch and hide away the knife, Legend patiently waited on the other side.
"I promise I won't be, Rulie." Legend softly mumbles, trying to hide the panic in his voice.
OR
Hyrule finds out that Legend hurts himself out of guilt, even after he's tried to help him. Knowing there's no saving the boy beyond saving, Hyrule hurts himself too to sympathize, just so he can at least feel his pain.
