So, here’s what you should do while in the presence of two Alphas aggressively measuring whose dick is bigger with huffy grunts and mean constipated stares:
1. Do not engage. Alphas are stupid pricks. (Especially your ex!)
2. Do NOT concentrate on the more alluring Alpha scent wafting from the taller bouldering one with dark, shiny hair and an oddly attractive crooked jaw.

5. Do not start imagining different future scenarios with said attractive Alpha that involve sex, scenting, mating, knotting, sex, talking about sex, more sex, so much sex it’s like you’re in heat all year round sex—
6. Do not keep looking at this Alpha. Danger. DANGER.
7. Do not even think about sleeping with this Alpha.
8. And definitely do not do anything so, so stupid like let that ADonis of an Alpha rail you so good he gets you pregnant.

Summary
Rey was officially having the worst day of her life.
It wasn’t enough that she’d overslept and had had a terrible headache all day, or that Poe’s suggestion for the upcoming project had been chosen over hers, or even that she hadn’t realised until late afternoon that the reason why she’d been feeling so awful the past few days was because she’d been about to go into an early, stress-induced, heat.
No, not even those things were enough, because apparently whatever forces were out there in the universe, they had it out for her today.
A fact which became blatantly clear when Rey finally managed to stumble her way in through the apartment complex door and drag her feet to her floor, only to realise that she couldn’t find the key to her apartment.
