Grian was made an avian by the Watchers. He never had anyone to teach him the customs, or what they mean, however he still does have the instincts.
Scar is a vex. He has no clue about any avian customs.
Grian gives Scar his feathers over the years out of impulse, not knowing why it matters, but feeling a compulsion to do so for some reason.
Surely this won’t make their friends who actually bother to look into things draw any conclusions! Right?

Summary
Grian had been running for what felt like hours, gliding through the deep void in an attempt to escape the Watchers.
After finally finding a server to hide in he quickly realises that it was, in fact, not abandoned as he had assumed.When Xisuma went to check the new Hermitcraft Server he saw an intruder hack into it - quite literally.
Though it quickly turns out that the intruder was more a fugitive, running away from the very monsters the admin hated with his entire being.Walking a thin line between truth and lie Grian tries his best to cling to the new safe haven to heal up and hide from his captors, making more connections than he had preferred.

Instead of hitting his head on rock, he hit his head against Etho’s palm. Blinking past the panic, he looked at his dad. Etho took a dramatic breath. Copying him, Grian just—watched him. “It’s going to be fine.”
“What do you mean it’s going to be fine? I’m pregnant and we’re—” I’ve been Cute Guy-ing it up while pregnant. I could have killed them. I could have killed my and Scar’s baby. “What have I done?”
