“Do you remember when Charlie gave Babe the promise ring and you stopped me from proposing in the garage?” Jeff nodded. “You said that you did want me to ask, but not until after the skill-nifiier drug was complete, and that you wanted to look nice when it happened. You only asked me for two things, but I was so caught up in my own ego and the power surge that I just did whatever I wanted.” Jeff’s breath hitched as his heartbeat picked up, terrified of hoping that what he thought was about to happen was actually taking place.
“Alan…”
“I don’t regret proposing to you, never. I can’t wait to marry you. My only regret is that I didn’t give you the proposal you wanted or deserved…but if you’ll let me, I want to give it to you now.” At that, Alan stepped back and Jeff, unable to wait any longer, blinked his eyes open, letting out a gasp as he looked around.

“Do you think I’m a fool?”
“About 90 percent of the time, yeah.” Jeff could feel the glare on his back as he shuffled out of the bathroom and over to his side of the bed. He looked up as he climbed into the covers, barely containing his laughter upon seeing the exact expression he expected on his lover’s face. Before he could even attempt to get comfortable, he was pulled into the center of the mattress, one of Alan’s arms wrapping around his back while the other landed underneath his own head. Like this, the two of them lay face to face and Jeff wriggled slightly into a better position, one of his hands coming to curl under his neck while his other one fell in between the two of them, one of his fingers absentmindedly tracing patterns on the other's top.
“Nuu, I’m serious.” The elder breathed out, his voice quiet in the large room. “He may not have thought Charlie would die, but he knew he would get hurt and he still sabotaged his car. He attacked Babe, might have even been okay with killing him if it meant keeping his secret."
Takes place during episode two after Alan let's him spend the night at the house and before Dean reunites with the gang at the garage
