    heart is cold and gaze like ice, but his hands are hot and lips are warm and Tony finds himself ignoring the blood on James's palms and the shadows in his soldier’s eyes, and falling in love.

    When danger lands at their doorstep, Natalia and Tony have to pack up and leave, running away in the middle of the night and leaving their men behind.

    Natasha isn't sure what she has found, or what had happened, but something about Tony Stark was... not Stark-ish at all.

    She finds out early on, what exactly makes Tony different. Except, unlike the Black Widow, he weaves the most wondrous webs. Neither truly of the Wolf Spider Ops Program of Department X or the Black Widow Ops Program of the Red Room, he's something in between. He's Nephila, a genus rather than a specific spider, but he is truly the only Golden Silk Weaver to have ever come from the program.

    When you put two extremely crafty, and vengeful, arachnids together, you get both lots of laughs and lots of tears, but it's worth it. Especially with Virginia Potts being brought into the fold, and the spiders reaching out for their old mentor, The Winter Soldier, who now just goes by James.

    All of that with a hostile "team" fighting actively against the arachnids. One of which is the same arachnid that they seem to forget has them all trapped with the strongest of silk, and a group of 'social spiders' that could be classified as some of the deadliest people in the world... well, it seems he has the advantage against them. He also has no intention of letting anyone know until they are struck dead.

    The Winter Soldier was created to take the pain of the HYDRA's torture. He wasn't meant to stick around after James goes free, but he does.

    Winter, though, wants to learn. James told him that killing people was a wrong, but why? He told him that he was a monster, but how? What made him bad? Why was he evil if he protected James? If he took the pain from The Chair, if he took over so that James didn't have to kill people?

    At this point, Winter is more afraid of James - is more hurt by James - than James is of him. Winter is trying to learn, trying to grow, but he doesn't stand a chance when he's stuck in James' body. When he's stuck around people who can't stand him, people who think he'd go out and kill babies or worse if he was ever to go free.

    One morning, Bucky gets a surprise visit from one Stephen Strange with an offer to separate their mind, Bucky was on board. He wanted Winter to just go away and leave him alone as he tried to get back to a normal life with Stevie. But then he, Winter, gets his own body, is picked up by Tony Stark, and protected by the entirety of the rest of the compound, three of the four residential wings. So what now?

    Winter just wants love.

    “So what if I ate the cheeseburger?” Tony shouts, throwing a wrench at Loki’s head. The bastard dodges it easily as he stalks closer. “That doesn’t mean I belong to you!”

    “Oh, not to me,” Loki says lowly, a smile like honey slowly spreading its way across his face. “But with me? Surely you’ve heard of Persephone.”

    “A cheeseburger isn’t some fucking mystical pomegranate, you smirking lunatic.” It isn’t, it just isn’t. Not even close. "You aren't even Greek!" he adds, throwing another wrench which is dodged just as easily.

    Loki spreads his hands wide, posing like the showman he is. “I think you’ll find that a pomegranate symbolizes the fruit of the dead. Your cheeseburger, made of dead flesh, was topped with fruit. It’s close enough for the symbolism to bind.”

    “Ah-hah! There’s no fucking fruit on a cheeseburger,” Tony says triumphantly, finger pointing accusingly at Loki. “I fucking win, no going back to crazy town with you. I stay here in my workshop, and you fucking leave before I call the Avengers.”

    “Oh Stark,” Loki murmurs, almost affectionately. “A tomato is a berry, you ignorant fool.”

    "How about anything with tsum tsums in it? I love them! Soulmates AU where you are born with your soulmate's tsum? Or tsums are like daemons? The little guys are the ones to fall in love first? Anything goes, really!"

    The Asset called the creatures 'Soft Pills', because he had to take pills often enough that he recognized the shape. He knew there was another name for them, something like 'Sum', but no one ever told him.

    He liked the soft pills. They were warm and nice to touch and made pleasant noises. He didn't have one of his own, but that was reasonable. He didn't have a soul, so how could he have a Soulmate? The little creatures appeared for humans; not weapons. But sometimes, if he'd done very, very well on a mission, one of his Handlers would let him hold their pill for a little while.
