Dazai suddenly looked at him, his tone shifting. “Why are you alive?”
“What kind of question is that?” Fyodor was quick to mutter. “I simply woke up here. I feel rather foggy, was I drugged?”

AKA: after Fukuchi stabs himself, hoping to end everything, a singularity wipes both of their memories. Fukuchi completely, while Fyodor remembers his life up until about thirty years ago. There are few things (or a person, rather) that have survived the memory loss.

Summary
Fyodor has lived alone in the snowy mountains for years with barely any human interaction. He's planned the rest of his life out, and hopes to die alone and at peace. Isolated from the world he is surprised to stumble upon a strange and mysterious traveler so far out from the closest town. With his interest peaked, he is willing to open his doors enough to welcome this strange man to keep company. Honestly, what's the worst that could happen?
