Summary
“Oh? What prompted the need for your ‘fresh start’?” asks Jisung. He pops one of the transmission bolts free and scurries after it as it rolls across the ground.
Minho quirks a brow at the clumsy display, stuffs his hands in his pockets. The cute little mechanic is amusing, he’ll admit. Makes him want to say something completely out-of-left-field just to see his reaction; he imagines big round eyes, a disconcerted pout. Adorable.
Minho shrugs. “I fumbled one too many romantic prospects east of the Continental Divide, and I have too much of a pariah complex to handle it maturely.”

Or: Following another catastrophic end to a long list of failed relationships, Minho decides to pack up and start his life anew, but his plans are thwarted when his car breaks down on his drive across the Rocky Mountains. He’s then forced to take up temporary residence in the nearby lakeside town while he waits for his car to be repaired by the cute local mechanic.

Preparing to start a new chapter of his life working in the polished elite world of plastic surgery, Doctor Lee Minho is suddenly jerked into the past when a memory he’d long given up on reaches out. Flying to the remote protected island of Aear he hopes to get answers and find closure for wounds left to rot by his best friend’s sudden disappearance years ago.
Landing on pristine beaches he’s thrown into a world he could never have imagined where instead of answers he finds lies, heartbreak, and the cutest cult leader/nurse from hell… oh, and fucking mermaids.

“Please.” Wiggling his eyebrows Jisung flashes a teasing grin. “If I wanted to kill you I wouldn’t have purposefully missed when I threw the coffee cup.”Snorting at his joke Minho wades in up to his calves before coming to a stop. “Like hell you missed. Your aim sucks...."
(Jisung is a sassy smart-ass who hates Minho on sight. Minho is stubborn, whipped and wants Jisung...badly)
