...okay, perhaps alive isn’t quite the correct term to use here. Apollo has only been alive for twenty-three of the years he has existed; for the remaining two hundred and ninety-three, it’s more accurate to say he’s been undead.
Or: Apollo thinks Klavier's human. Klavier thinks Apollo's human. They're both wrong.

"You'd like that?" He can't keep the surprise from his voice.
Apollo laughs softly, a sound so soft and gentle he's surprised he had it in him to make such a sound. He leans his head back into Klavier's shoulder, meeting his blue eyes and offering a gentle smile.
"I would. L-like that—I mean."
Klavier smiles. Not the smile he wears on stage, or the one in court. It's a more private smile, hesitant. "Your wish is my command." He tilts his head and then shifts his position so he's holding the guitar in a more comfortable position.
