The humans, elves and dwarfs rule the world under a military Alliance, their legions subjugating all in their way, maintaining the 'Great Peace' and branding any who would jeopardize their position as a 'dark lord'. You (Velis Lance) were born in one of the 'eaten' nations, under the yoke of one of the three great empires. Naturally, you want out... and when you're finally given the chance, you're taking it with much aplomb.
