Summary
Shen Yuan makes a habit of asking what a person's preferred pronouns are because the number of times he's misgendered human pretty boys and butch lady demons was getting out of hand. On an unrelated note, it's a little weird the scum villain hasn't shown up to Qing Jing yet. There's a girl with a strikingly similar backstory and... name... but as is previously stated: girl.
Shen Jiu, who has never been asked such a question, finds a revelation and an opportunity. If she's going to make a new life for herself at a sect, why not be a girl? Shimei does feel more suitable than shidi.
