“...Hello?”
Whizzer’s voice was low and raspy, like he hadn’t been awake but not quite asleep either. Like he had been up late. With somebody, or alone. Up late, breathless. Still, he sounded alert. Marvin already felt stupid.
“Hi. It’s, uh, it’s Marvin.” Do you remember? The fag from the game.
“Oh.” Whizzer said, and Marvin could hear the smile already blooming on the other end of the line. “I figured. You know, not many people call me this time of the night unless they’re horny or dying.” Marvin didn’t answer right away. He felt the scotch in his hand and the heat crawling up his neck. His whole body reacted. “Which one are you?”
Well, the situation’s this: it’s 1978 and Marvin takes Jason out to a baseball game. He’s incredibly bored until one Whizzer Brown happens to sit next to him. It’s a terrible place for this and even worse timing, but Marvin always has a hard time saying no to himself.

I've decided to keep a journal to document my life while I'm being courted by Tom, so I'm able to gather research for any paranormal investigators in further generations who may have questions about demon courtship (I haven't been able to find anything on the matter myself, so I am assuming this will be one of the first records of it in history available to human hands).Jan 20th
I think there are people after me. I see the tail-ends of shadows following me when I turn around, and no one on campus seems to want to be associated with me at all. I haven't finished figuring out how to tap into the magic in the jewelry, so all I've got is my martial arts training, and I get the feeling that's not going to be enough.(a page has been torn out)

Not until he stumbles upon a saucy, mysterious yellow legal pad someone left after a shareholder meeting…
"One question, though, because I'm not sure I understand", the man's eyes pierced Vox through his heart-shaped glasses, as he swiveled back and forth in his chair. "What made you come to me~?"
"Hmm?"
"There are probably some other stuffy sinners you could go to for this endeavour. And it's not like you put out a call for talent. So why me?"

If the sinner was smiling, it was hard to tell. The lighting around them got worse. The demon’s face was half in shadow.
“The fuck you care.” Husk smiled so hard, his teeth hurt. “I’ve always been like this.”
It's been seven years since his soul owner left. But Husk can't seem to escape his past, no matter what.

When Husk opened his eyes, there was no sign of injury. His fur was unmarked, his hands clear of wounds. He didn't even taste any copper, nothing to stain his teeth with.
But when he looked around, he saw prison bars trapping him. Except. They weren't metal bars. They were curved and white. Half-broken. A wrong step, and he'd impale himself on their sharp ends. This cage was incomplete. Fragile. He could step out if he really wanted to.
Husk could feel Alastor breathing around him. He could feel the pulse of a meaty heart by his shoulder. He could feel the blood coursing around him, veins moving like the boughs of a tree. Husk reached out his hand to one of those curved ribs, enclosing it in his grip.
He’d never been this close to anyone before.
Or, how a day in a nightmare bayou with Alastor leads to Husk discovering something new about himself.

Alastor needs as much control over his afterlife as possible, and so decides that losing his virginity should also be done when he is in control of the situation. He thinks he can handle it. He does not handle it very well.
