Summary
“Lapis, watch out!” Peridot shouts as the rocks begin to smash into the ground around them.
It was supposed to be an easy day.
Lapis and Peridot were going back to the Kindergarten to test out some of Peridot’s more exotic metal powers, but then something—or more exactly, everything—messed up. Rocks began tumbling from the tops of the kindergarten, raining frightening boulders down upon the two as they tried to run. Lapis hopelessly failed to summon any bit of water she could; the kindergarten was bone-dry.
With one final idea, Lapis grabs Peridot by the wrist and runs, yanking the smaller gem into a hole on the side of the cliff. A cloud of choking dust explodes up, blinding the two of them as the rocks fall outside the hole and darkness fills the space. Peridot feels her chest get tight, and then suddenly, she feels everything in her body fade away and she falls to the ground.

“You do not want to see this,” he tells her offhandedly. His eyes never leaving the screen. “Is too strange...”
“I’m in a mood for strange,” Ava replies, settling in. Not to be talked out of this and he really should know better than to try. “So how does this work, anyway? I can almost understand what her powers did to reality, but... why waste it all on vanilla, family-friendly stories set in suburbia...?”
He only shrugs. Raising no protest as she nestles into his side. Even relaxing a little now that he was no longer alone with the mysterious show someone from within SWORD leaked weeks ago. Causing all kinds of havoc in the paranoid lot that hung out around certain areas of the internet.
