She grew quiet. Her mouth was slightly open, and she was breathing heavily. She stared at Damian with her eyes wide. But then the girl’s face, which had seemed so strong and stern, so angry and steadfast, cracked. Her fury melted away in a split second, leaving only a tired, quiet sadness. Confidence gone, left only with hurt.
“You left me,” she whispered, staring at Damian. “You left me alone with Grandfather, with no one.” Her voice cracked. “You left me without even saying goodbye.”

Set during Dick's time as Batman, he, Stephanie, and Damian come home to the cave one night after patrol, expecting everything to be normal. Instead they find Mara al Ghul, Damian's cousin, waiting for them. Unlike in the main universe, Mara and Damian were actually friends in the League - family. So of course instead of going back to the League of Assassins, Mara stays with the family.
Somehow, she makes everyone the better for it.
