    “The gang that killed Toyomitsu…” Midoriya started, still not fully committing to an explanation. Bakugo’s heart sunk in his chest.
    “Were they captured? I remember when I was here for the funeral, there was talk about-“
    “Killed,” Midoriya blurted.
    “What?” Bakugo sat up straighter.
    “Not the whole gang. Two guys. Well…one was killed. Another fatally injured.”
    “Okay…so shitty deal. You guys catch the killer?” Bakugo felt like he was pulling teeth. What was Midoriya afraid of telling him?
    “We believe the killer also took out the yakuza leader of the Kansai region. And took his place.”
    “Okay. So what? This guy is still a villain. Take him down.”
    “We’ve tried. We’ve never gotten close.” Bakugo sensed the last two months had sent Midoriya to the edge. No wonder he called him. Still, he could have reached out to any pro heroes.
    “Why do you need me? I’m a go-in-after-the-intel’s-gathered type of guy. Point and shoot. I need something to point at Deku.”
    “We need you because of our suspicions.”
    “Okay. Who do you think it is?”
    “Kirishima.”
