"I liked it when you called me your angel," Will whispered, his fingers digging into Mike’s shoulders. "But I liked it better when I was alone in my room, thinking about how you’d look if you finally stopped being a pussy and took what you wanted."
Mike’s jaw tightened, a flash of pure, territorial fire hitting his eyes. "A pussy? Is that what you think?" He gripped Will’s hair, pulling his head back to expose his throat. "I’m going to make you forget you ever had to use that fucking toy, Will. You’re going to scream my name until the neighbors call the cops."
"Then do it, Mike," Will challenged, his voice a filthy, desperate rasp. "Fucking do it. Stop talking and show me how much I belong to you."

Mike abandons his nonchalant act for a raw, possessive devotion, admitting he heard Will’s private moments and intends to claim him completely. Summary
After the events of the Starcourt Mall, Will and the others have been relatively free from any activities of the Mind Flayer. They have believed the whole situation to be over, and have now gotten used to the religious rigidness of the community. However, Will hasn’t felt like himself. He still feels the Mind Flayer, his connection to the hive mind, every now and then. He has chosen to not bring it up, as it seems like a non-issue and he doesn’t want to cause needless worry. For a while, things were fine. Will kept quiet about the way he was feeling and no one seemed to pay too much attention to the way he would act differently at times. Recently, however, the religious psychosis of the community has worsened, and so has Will.
This takes place during the 18 months post season 4 in which the Byers family stayed at the Wheeler’s. This is basically me projecting my religious trauma onto Will and my internalized homophobia onto Mike. Enjoy? LMAO

Truthfully, part of him believed Jason’s Hellfire theory was a desperate story fueled by the grief of losing Chrissy, but the more Chance watched Hawkins fall apart, literally, the more he felt his old logic snap into place. After losing two of his friends in the Hawkins “earthquake,” Chance joins a church grief group that believes Will Byers is the vessel for Satan. To prove them wrong, Chance agrees to befriend Will, but the closer he gets, the more the lines between faith, fear, obsession and love start to blur.
