But Buggy doesn’t have short hair, his hands don’t struggle to close around the handle of his knives and he has never looked like he is now, with a wary gaze that follows every movements as if there's a beast ready to pounce at him. In a sudden accident, Buggy is turned into a kid. Faced with this challenge they certainly didn't plan for, Mihawk and Crocodile must deal with this problem while both getting a better understanding of Buggy as a person and deciding how they're going to move forward once it all settles.

Buggy barely remembered a time when he did not have to tip-toe around the curse.
It was weird as fuck and a big part of him hated Captain for being the reason he was cursed in the first place, but it wasn’t like Roger had even known what they'd find on that island. It was supposed to be safe. Not end up with him and Shanks in the med bay for a week. Still, shit had gone down, as it often did with the Roger Pirates and at the end of the day Buggy ended up cursed for life because of a disgruntled rival pirate crew and an even more disgruntled witch.
Nothing to do about it other than move on. And shriek internally now and then.
So yeah, it sucked but he knew how to deal with it. Was lucky that at least the unflashy assholes who cursed him made it so he had to listen only to the commands of people he cares about. Which were precious few as it was. Most were dead, the rest had abandoned him and Buggy couldn't even tell if he gave a shit about them anymore, and his crew knew how to tiptoe around the curse.
Or 5 times people did not know Buggy was cursed + 1 time they knew and chose not to take advantage of it

A typical storm and an atypical story lead the Cross Guild's shadow leaders to spend more time with their chosen figurehead. Mihawk is strangely comfortable with it, but Crocodile is still learning to accept that Buggy the Clown isn't as uninteresting and weak as he'd always assumed. The ex-warlords might not get all the answers they want from Buggy, but they learn there's reason to respect the man--and maybe even begrudgingly admit that he has his charms.

“B… but she trained so hard for this….” She drew her bottom lip in, eyes cast down as she got lost in thought while one hand wrapped around her arm timidly. There needed to be something she could do to help her friend.
“Train, she did. But I'm afraid she didn’t reach the level she needs.” One of his hands stretched to touch her shoulders, the touch he inflicted feeling heavy on her body when a smirk crossed his lips.
“I could… maybe be persuaded to let her still be part of the starting line up…” he added, seemingly in thought. Yet that was enough to let her eyes light up, the slightest hint of a smile on her pink lips.

Summary
