    Loki escapes to Earth after another quarrel with Odin. He finds refuge among the mortals, blending in among the primitive species. He was merely surviving, living off of the half-decent pay check he was receiving through the Stark Internship. It is when he stops the murder of a child that he finds himself struggling to sustain himself, but he realizes what it's like to no longer survive, but to live.
