My Hero! Adventures was, according to some people, the epitome of a perfect superhero manga.
It ticked all the classic boxes. Bullied protagonist turned strongest individual in the world? Check. Evil villains who preyed upon the downfall of society while claiming they just wanted to fix things? Check. Cute female classmate who totally wasn't interested in the protagonist and is just a good friend? Check.
Abusive childhood bully later defeated and turned into a two bit villain? Mega check.
All that taken into consideration- Katsuki would really like a refund. All that money he spent on the manga wasn't worth it anymore. Not only because of the bad ending, but because now he is the shmuck who gets his face punched in repeatedly before fading into obscurity.

“Oh my God, Shouto, this kid is just like Touya.” Fuyumi says, covering her mouth as she laughs. Shouto’s face contorts to something between amusement and concern.
“Is this really the best place for him to volunteer?” Shouto asks with a laugh and his mom waves him off.
“He really is a sweet kid. I think you'd like him.” Shouto smiles as he takes the last bite of his ice cream, and he and Fuyumi get ready to leave. He hugs his mom tight and hopes they'll see each other again soon.

Katsuki is sick and tired of the way he's perceived, so he decides to go on a journey to change it, and starts to volunteer at a hospital in the city, in hopes that he can bring out a gentler part of himself.
He ends up achieving more than personal growth.

What was supposed to be a normal day at the park with his dad turns into a nightmare for Katsuki when two men notice his quirk and see him as something valuable- Kidnapped and being used for his quirk by a man named Chisaki- Katsuki finds himself trapped and isolated, and is later joined by a girl with white hair and a small horn. During this time Katsuki struggles to trust anyone as he and the girl are used for Chisaki’s schemes.
Meanwhile, Midoriya Izuku never forgot about Kacchan, Sad and heart-broken by what happened, Izuku becomes even more determined to become a hero- who can save as many as possible, making sure no one else suffers like Katsuki did. Eventually, Katsuki and the girl are rescued, and with the guidance of Aizawa and the support of Class 1-A, he slowly begins to rebuild trust and learn to rely on others again.
