“You kill 8 of my men, and you expect me to let you leave alive. What the hell is wrong with you?” Makio said quietly, voice trembling with disbelief.
“Hey, that’s not very nice is it? And just for yer information, they’re not dead, just knocked out.” He paused, eyebrows furrowed in thought. “Actually, don’t quote me on that. Humans are just so fragile, y’know?”
Makio stared at him, horror dawning on his expression. “You….what are you?”
“I think the better question here would be what are YOU. Or even better, what’s an Angel like yerself doing at a Navy base, playin’ soldier?”

Lucas Grey is sent to the human realm to investigate a seemingly new, potentially dangerous cult fixated on obtaining the sea curses. On his way, he encounters an Angel stranded in the human realm for centuries past, who loathes his very existence and may just be the key to finding out what The Order of the Aesir is really up to.
(This is basically a rewrite of the AO storyline, and is based off a roleplay that me and my friend did, but there’s a lot of new lore added on top of the already existing in-game lore)

Because no matter how many centuries passed, the sight of their two bouquets side by side every year (one too many, there was always one too many bouquets for just one person to have brought all those flowers) would always raise a lump in his throat. Before, at the very first meeting, they’d negotiated that they would each bring something; The Retainer would provide the cups, he would supply the wine and She would bring flowers.
Even after Her death, they'd still held up the negotiations.

Yes, that must be it. For the form the bard had taken did not belong to him, stolen from the memories of a valiant hero, a walking desecration disguised as a tribute. Sky blue smiles back at horrified aquamarine, the mark of divinity noticeably missing from his hair. The ghost laughs cheerfully, and the bard watches in disbelief as crimson flows out of the boy’s mouth, drops of regret staining the mirror vibrant red.
What’s wrong, Venti? Aren’t you happy to see me? The boy giggles, the sound as flittingly bright and airy as he remembers, like the docile winds on a warm spring morning. It pierces the bard like an arrow through the heart.
Alternatively, Venti gets drunk and sees ghosts of the past.
