Summary
There’s nothing more disorienting than dying and waking up in the middle of the desert. A desert that used to be heavy enemy territory. Torn between finding her purpose in this timeline and the very intriguing, very welcoming Chief of the Gerudo people. Impa tries to fit herself into this new era while navigating the complicated mess this Hyrule seems to be building itself toward.

Urbosa smiled gently, completely relaxed and at ease in the face of someone armed for combat. Perhaps in the Gerudo Desert it wasn’t that odd, the women here looked like they probably rolled out of bed ready to fight at a moment's notice. “Tell me, little lost snowflake, what brings a Sheikah to the desert?”“Lady Urbosa, we found her on the path between here and Kara Kara Bazaar.” Meikain explained for her, bowing her head to Urbosa before straightening back up. “She appeared to have been passed out, so we checked first that she was alive before bringing her back here.”
“Checked. You threw a bucket of water at me.” Impa spoke for the first time, crossing her arms over her chest and throwing Meikain a somewhat amused look. The one she got in turn said please stop talking but she really didn’t intend to.

It all started with a single sentence from the King of Hell himself; "Make a deal with me."
To protect Charlie, Lucifer knew he needed to stop acting like the King of Hell and actually be it. Though several thousand years out of the social network tends to make someone rather inept at even the most casual of conversations. If there is one thing the Radio Demon is good at, it's manipulating and reading people. Lucifer figured he could probably use that.
What's one deal? They're not betting souls here.

Following the events in Heaven during Lucifer's meeting, God presented Michael with a single question; "Do you regret your choices?" Unable to answer the question without more questions forming in himself, God gave Michael an order. Go and seek the answers yourself. It should be an easy task, there's no conceivable way the sinners are actually capable of redemption. All he needed to do was make it clear to himself they're still chaotic, bloodthristy, psychopathic murderers. All he has to do is justify the exterminations to himself and he can take his answer confidently to his father.
He probably shouldn't have recruited Leviathan for this mission first.

Jin Guangshan died a vicious death recently and the last person who would ever inherit a Sect happened to gain control of it? Did I get that right?”
Lan Wangji can see the rage that flashes across his brother’s face before he even speaks. “What are you implying, Wen-gongzi?”
“I’m not implying anything.” He replies calmly. “I’m outright accusing.”

"What does that mean?" There was a bad sinking feeling about that in Link's gut. One that only got worse the more Purah tried to fight with it and didn't succeed. The tablet just kept repeating the same words at her much to her own growing frustration. A feeling he was definitely sharing with her at this point.
"Mm... I assume it's some kind of login system for this. See, a few functions of the Sheikah slate were locked out to us because of credentials. Like we weren't high enough on it's list of valuable users to see everything."

Sheik’s job was written out for him the moment he was born. Be the guide, be the shadow, but nothing more. He was content with those rules, Impa made sure he knew them all down to the very letter. But knowing it and actually doing it are two very conflicting things. What if he just helps a little bit more? What if he stays a little bit longer than the prophecy says he should? Surely the Hero will still succeed, surely everything will be fine.

Sheik turned slowly to look at him, amusement still dancing across his face as he nodded his head to the request. “I want you to know you are the only person that takes the definition of the word ‘Guide’ to the very last letter.” What he wouldn’t tell Link though was that it felt good to be relied on so heavily. He felt like he was actually needed, that he was making a difference.
Link’s left hand reached out, taking hold of Sheik’s and gently held it. “I’m the Hero of Time, right?” Sheik nodded, a bit confused on where this was going. “Then it’s for me to decide how I need to be guided, not everyone around me. Not even the Goddesses. If they want me to save Hyrule, then I should be allowed to use as much help and resources as I can.”
