Summary
After months of dating, loads of FaceTime meetings with Mr. and Mrs. MacTavish, and lots of nervous cuticle picking, Simon and Joseph join John on his trip home for Christmas.
Simon's never been a part of something so...normal. Here he is, surrounded by a happy, completely present family, trying to figure out where he and his son fit into the equation—and if the MacTavishes even want them to.

Summary
"Price just sat there patiently, letting Simon work it out. He took a deep breath. 'We hooked up last night while you had Joseph.' Price had the AUDACITY to laugh at him then. Full on snorting as Simon had his minor mental breakdown not even a metre away."
Johnny starts his first day at a new teaching job on a high note, only to immediately find out that his hookup from the night before, Simon, is the school's year 1 teacher. Summary
"'Bout time we got another reptile in here," Gaz says brightly. "Maybe now Cap'll finally invest in some proper heaters."
Soap chuckles, smoke leaking from his nostrils when he grins. "Ah'm plenty warm," he teases, drawing Gaz under his wing, the snake wriggling happily, his round pupils shining as his cheeks flush pink. He rests his chin on Soap's shoulder with a tiny hiss, content to curl around him and soak up the heat of Soap's fire.
"Ghost is out on a mission," Price tells him. "You'll only get to meet him when it's basically wheels-up, unfortunately. He's, ah, a bit of a prickly sort, but impress him and you won't have any problems."

Summary
Ghost can tell Soap's worn down, antsy. As well as Soap knows him, he knows his husband to the bone. Knows how to read the tic in Soap's jaw when he's stressed, the near-permanent crease between his brows, the nervous fluttering of his hands and his obsessive search for distraction.
