Summary
Mike pulls him toward his chest and this time, Will lets himself be held again.
“You’re okay.”
Will closes his eyes, the comfort of his best friend overtaking him in rapid succession, he feels himself drifting off, Mike’s words of reassurance gently whisking him off to sleep.
“I’ve got you,” he hears, almost unconscious when the faint words barely register-
“I’ve got you, baby.”
Or,

Summary
“Will said last summer you two had a fight,” Eddie said. “And that you yelled at him for not... having a girlfriend. So- Well, I mean, you can see how that sounds from an outside perspective, right?”
Mike didn’t. Actually he didn’t even know why something he said a year ago was still even relevant, especially because it was during a dumb fight and he always said stupid things during dumb fights.
Mike just stared blankly at Eddie.
“Are you kidding?” Eddie asked in disbelief. “You don’t realise how that sounds?”
“No?” Mike said, shaking his head. “I had a girlfriend and was being a douche that Will didn’t, I don’t even remember what I said during that fight. Why is this so important?”
~~~
Mike Wheeler does not care about gay people, not in a bad way or anything, he just doesn't care.
Summary
After a cabin movie night, Will develops a very specific medical condition: every time Mike touches him, his heart tries to explode.
It is fine. Really. He can handle sharing sleeping bags, being used as a space heater, Mike’s hand under his hoodie for warmth, storms in the Wheeler basement, and totally-normal, absolutely-not-a-date trips to the spring fair where holding hands somehow becomes public information.
